“…and they two shall become one flesh”
March 26, 2008 by Mary Jo

A little over three years ago, Ben Murch drove his brother and sister to meet me. We exchanged hellos, but there was not even a hand shake. Three years ago, Ben Murch came to Florida with his sister and they stayed at my house. I thought he was a nice guy, but did not even begin to foresee what God would have in store. We quickly became friends, and 27 months ago, he got my daddy’s permission to court me.
Friday night (March 21), he asked me to marry him. I, of course, said yes. And, Lord willing, on May 10, 2008 and 1 o’clock in the afternoon, Ben Murch and I will be united as husband and wife.

I’m so happy for you both :). Congratulations! …That’s a really.. really… short engagement! LOL.
Hi, I’ve visited your blog a few times and was brought back by the fact that I was married young (18) and courted also. Congratulations! May you have many years of memories together to fill your happy home.
Congratulations!
I checked your blog to see if you posted about your engagement :) This is an absolutely gorgeous picture, so sweet. I’m very proud of you Mary Jo and pray continually to have a daugther like you, what a blessing you are to all….
Mary Jo, I was just thinking…
I’m sure you are awfully busy and have a lot on your mind now, but I would love it if you could post a story about your relationship with Ben– how you met, how you maintained your relationship, etc. It would be great to read.
I read your happy news at HeartThoughts … congratulations again, Mary Jo! :) I hope and pray your wedding planning goes smoothly and happily! What a lovely picture … I hope you’re planning to post wedding pictures after your big day! :)
Congrats Mary Jo! Lovely picture of a couple in love!
I’ve since your comments on http://www.ylcf.org and heartThoughts and I was led to your blog.
Are we to expect a courtship story posted or linked to http://www.ylcf.org any time soon? I would love to read your love story, hopefully, as soon you get time to write. :)
Oh what joy there is as we walk alongside beside you as you prepare to become Ben’s bride. It reminds me of how we are always to be helping one another, preparing together in the beauty of holiness, for the coming of our Bridegroom!
Rejoicing with you & Ben & your families for the kind providence of God that allowed you to meet your beloved so early in your life. I wish that I had known & loved Christ at such a tender age & had met & married Scott young as well.
